Scatt Sunday

It is SCATT Sunday Again (20/06/2010)

This Sunday we will have the Scatt shooting training system at the club. the Scatt training system helps experienced shooters to better their skills, and beginners the chance to shorten the time needed to learn shooting skills by a factor or two or three.

The system consists of an electronic optical sensor that is fixed to the barrel of the rifle, or the compressed air cylinder of an air rifle. The shooter then aims at the electronic target. A trace of the point of aim can then be followed on a ‘real-time' display screen. On activating the weapon trigger, the point of impact is then displayed on the screen. All results of the training session can be recorded for further analysis.

The aiming trajectory, displayed on the screen of the computer, provides complete information about the accuracy of aim and errors being made before and during shooting. The SCATT Training System was created for the Russian National Shooting Team, with the participation of the coaches and top sportsmen and as a result, the features of the SCATT training system will satisfy even the most highly sophisticated requirements of today's Olympic champions.

We will allocate 30 minutes to each shooter to run through a training sequence
